I went to the track for the first time with my Dad and Grandfather when I was ten years old and have been playing the horses ever since. I started the ongoing Racetrackers project 5 years ago to capture hard core racing fans who live by their wits, trying to beat a game whose best years are behind it. The images were shot at Golden Gate Fields in Albany, California and during the Northern California Summer Fair Circuit. Side trips have included visits to Albuquerque Downs, New Mexico and Arapahoe Park, Colorado.
